they allowed the advertisement to stay up for days, but as any other imageboard it was a dnb when it was first made but after (((they))) deleted /qa/, it became more popular and eventually during 2022 it became actually active with decent PPH due all the nusois coming in

In the old days sure, but look at the catalog now. Nobody does it anymore and the only "culture" left is just an obligation to attach a soi image. Most of the growth came after this from the website looking normal enough to engage with like some social media site but being just exotic enough to attract the curious and clueless.

It was forced onto the sharty by a group of 2-3 people, back in the days anime wasn't really as hated, eventually some people started liking ongezellig and some people used it for bait. Of course, being used as bait did not help its reputation that was already not really good and since soicucks fall for every bait possible, most of them either hate it or are neutral
