Your computer doesn't have to be that good, I installed it on a 2007 laptop and it worked fine (as long as you use binary builds for web browsers and other big shit). If you have a spare PC/laptop and want to learn more about Linux, you should definitively try to install it and get a DE running, you're going to learn a lot.

I think that's because Thinkpads are high quality computers and they're usually purchased in a large amount by companies.

I don't know much about this series. But from my experience and what I have saw on internet, you should buy used. New Thinkpads are overpriced. You will save quite an amount of money by just buying used and nu-'pads aren't as /diy/ friendly as older ones since the RAM is soldered.

I think that I'll buy a newer laptop that I use currently, transfer my Artix to the newer one and then install Gentoo on the older one. What softwares are available on binaries? I don't want to compile X11 or Librewolf.

you can find a white robe custome easily. You can find it anywhere, pretty much. Even on ebay. The hat is a bit tricker though, since it's largely associated with the KKK unless you get it from some sort of Christian organization I don't think you can find it.
